Where to stay

London is big, safe, and easy to get around once you embrace its public transport. If we were visiting, we’d probably stay in North London - Highbury, Canonbury, or Angel - all lovely areas, close to the venue, and well connected. But honestly, that’s our own preference - stay wherever you fancy.

The venue is also easy to reach from Central London and most other parts of the city.

A few suggestions that are either close, or we have a discount at:

Airbnb would also be a great shout, or scouring Booking.com for a decent rate.

Any questions, please ask!

Getting here

The Pleasance and The Depot are right next door to each other at Carpenter Mews, North Road, N7 9EF.

They’re about a 5-minute walk from Caledonian Road tube station (Piccadilly line).

Other ways to get there:

  • 15-minute walk from Caledonian Road & Barnsbury Overground (Weaver line)

  • 25-minute walk from Highbury & Islington station (Victoria line + Mildmay Overground)

  • 25-minute walk from Drayton Park station (Thameslink)

If you have a contactless debit card, you can use that to get around on public transport (buses/tube/overground).

If you’re feeling energetic, you can jump on a Lime bike.

Ubers are easy, but bear in mind that the tube will usually be quicker.

London is a big place, but Google Maps (or the Citymapper app) will guide you from anywhere else.

FAQ’s

Dress code: Cocktail attire. Fancy, but comfortable enough to actually dance.

Tiny people: No kids - we love them, but we thought you might like a night off. Babies in arms are, of course, welcome.

Gifts: We’re so chuffed you’ve made the trip, and that’s genuinely enough for us. If you are set on a gift, cash towards our honeymoon would be welcome. Details below:
